Warrants for absconding against Hardik Patel were issued during the hearing of his sedition case
A bail warrant was issued against Hardik Patel, unable to appear on Wednesday in the Ahmedabad sessions court, while allegations of treason against him for 2015 were issued. In October 2015, this case was registered against him, by Ahmedabad Crime Branch. Due to the presence of them, after the release of the bail warrant, on 25 April, Judge DP Mahdi was pressurized for the next hearing. During the anti-rape case, in August 2015, Hardik and his colleagues were accused of "inciting violence against the intention of overthrowing the government" during the agitation for the demand of OBC (other backward castes) for the Patidar community. About 13 people have been estimated to have died in this violence.
