Battle of Poltava (Swedish: Slaget vide Poltava; Russian: June 27, 1709 (July 8, NS) was the decisive victory of Russia's Peter I, which is also called "Great" in one of the Great Northern War battles in the Field Marshal Swedish forces under Carl Gustav Rehanskyd.
