29 June | Wiki | Raymond of Poitiers | Prince of Antioch Raymond of Poitiers (c. 1115 - 29 June 1149) was Prince of Antioch from 1136 to 1149. He was born to the younger son of William IX, Duke of Aquitaine and his wife Philipa, Counties of Toulouse, was born many years that his father, Duke, started his infamous contact with Dangerius de Chettelhralt. After the death of Prince Bohemand II of the Antioch in 1130, the principality came under the rule of King Baldwin II (1130-31), then King Fuze (1131-35), and finally Princess Alice (1135-36), the Widow of Bohemond. The daughter of the Royal Princess Bohemond II was Constance (born 1127). Against the wishes of Alice, while living in England, Raymond was arranged for a marriage with Constance, which he left after the death of Henry I of 1 December 1135.
