According to the information received, a farmer, Punjab Singh, committed suicide due to financial constraints in Saokek village of Sangrur district. Her brother has also committed suicide. The second incident is from Gurdaspur district where farmer Jaswant Singh committed suicide by drinking poisonous medicine. After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members.
