CM Yogi's gift to 1.6 million state employees, increase in DA

CM Yogi gave approval to the order of two percent dearness allowance, giving a big relief to Uttar Pradesh state employees and pensioners on Wednesday. Increased DA will be applicable from January 2018.

This decision of the state government will benefit about 16 lakh employees of the state. The incremental DA will be paid from the salary of the month.The central government had ordered central employees to increase the dearness allowance of two percent in March itself.
In view of that, the state government also gave the state employees a lot of delay in the expenditure of the DA. After this increase, the DA of state employees will increase from five to seven per cent.
This increase will be done on the basis of the seventh pay commission. From January to March, the DA will be credited to the employees' PF account.
