Saharanpur: A farmer involved in poison has committed suicide
Saharanpur: The condition of farmers in debt trapped in Uttar Pradesh is worrisome. A large number of farmers are waiting for their situation to get better. The situation is so bad that a farmer under debt of Saharanpur was poisoned and killed by a farmer. The farmer has been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition. The farmer's father took a loan from PNB in 2012. To repay the loan, the bank was constantly sending him a notice. Explain that the state government had given relief to farmers by waiving a large number of loans. But due to the negligence of authorities, the relief is not reaching to the farmers. This is why the farmers are upset.
This case of attempt of suicide of the farmer belongs to Jaitpur Khurd village of Saharanpur police station area. Here, the farmer's father, Rashid, took a loan from PNB in 2012. The loan amount was only 30 thousand. To repay this loan, the bank was pressurizing Rashid for a long time. Also, continuous notice was also sent. Due to this, Rashid tried to give life to poison on Monday. The family took him to the community health center of the Beat. From there, he was referred to the district hospital after having serious condition. There he is undergoing treatment.
According to Rashid, his father took a loan of 30 thousand from PNB in 2012. He has 7 bighas of land and can not even get the cost of the house in the crop that is coming from this land. According to him, his father died a year and a half ago. Rashid said that this loan increased from Rs. 30 thousand to 37 thousand rupees. After this, PNB officials started sending him notice continuously. This is why he was upset. The victim, while pleading for the loan waiver from the state government, said that most of the farmers' debt was waived by the government. But due to the negligence of officials, our debt has not been forgiven till today.
