Violation of orders of minister, mayor, commissioner's nose high court
Former
municipal town planner (MTP) engineer Desaraj of the municipal
corporation has accused the minister, the mayor and the commissioner of
the city, in violation of the orders of the Punjab Haryana High Court. He said that the High Court is banned for illegal construction in the
city but illegal construction is continuing with the collusion of
officials of the department.
He
said that construction work is in full swing with the collusion of ATP
and Inspector of the department in the corridor of Shri Durbar Sahib. This construction work is directly violation of the order of the High Court. Departmental officials are busy bribing the construction work. Desaraj said that the mayor says that the corporation's gut is empty,
then what was taken in lieu of illegal construction was not being
deposited in the treasury.
He said that hundreds of buildings in the civil lines are also being made without maps. The ones that have been created are contrary to the map. Illegal shops are being constructed in the 40-foot house line on Batala Road. Many times complaints were not taken but action was taken.
The same has been captured on TP scheme number 31 in Kashmir Avenue. About 8 months ago, around 8 months ago, taking action against illegal construction of 13 hotels, power connections were cut from PowerCom and connections of water and sewerage were severed from the sewerage department.
The department has issued notices to 56 illegal hotels last week, in which instructions have been given for cutting their connections. But the irony is that the connections of power connections have not been cut since the collusion of officials of the department and the officials of Power Comm. This is a question mark on the functioning of the department. The paperwork is just about to dust in people's eyes. Desaraj requested Mayor Kamjeet Singh to complete his work by correcting the claims system of its transparency department.
