Mangala Gauri's fast is a boon for Akhand fortune for fortunate women. This fast will be started from July 31 on every Tuesday of the month of Shravan. The story of Mangala Gauri Vrat is as follows: In ancient times, a Seth named Dharmapala is living happily with his wife. She had no weakness except for the sorrow that she had no child. He worshiped a lot of worship and charity, then pleased God gave him a son but astrologers said that this son would be short-lived. According to his calculation, in the 16th year, he will become a victim of death due to snake bites. The miserable Seth has taken patience by treating it as a fate of fate. After some time, he married the son to a worthy daughter of a cult. The mother of the girl always used to worship Mangala Gauri's fast. The daughter born with the effect of this fast was blessed with the blessings of being a part of fortune. As a result of this, the impending death of Seth's son was postponed and he attained longevity.



The importance of 16 in the worship of Mangala Gauri


The number 16 is very important in the worship method of Mangala Gauri fast. Fruits, flower beads, laddoos, paan, betel nut, cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds, coriander etc. are all stored in number of sixteen. Along with saris, 16 items of adornment, 16 pieces and five types of dried fruits should be 16 places. There should be seven kinds of grains. The women who started the fast should start with the resolutions of these vows on the first Tuesday of the month of Shravan.



Set the Mangala Gauri idol or photo with red color and set it on a wooden checkpiece, after the morning bath on the first Tuesday of Savan. First of all worship Ganesha and offer water, Roli, Mauli, Chandan, Sindoor, betel nut, cloves, paan, rice, flowers, cardamom, bell leaf, fruit, nuts and dakshina on them. After this, worship the Kalash in the same way. Then worship nine planets and sixteen mothers. After this, attach the statue of Mangla Gauri to water, milk, bath with curd, wear robe, sandal, sandur, mahindhi and mascara. Decorate the mother with sixteen objects of Adarangar.
