NRI group demands Indian citizenship for Hindu migrants coming from Bangladesh

Under the banner of 'Singh Bahini America' 'Global Hindu Heritage Foundation' and 'Navbang', a group is seeking support for the Bill of Citizenship, 2016, in which the minority victims of atrocities coming from neighboring countries of India, There is a provision for amendment in the Citizenship Act, 1955 to give. Members of the group had met Indian leaders during the recently held World Hindu Congress in Chicago.

The press release issued by the group said that in the light of the well-informed NRC brought to help identify the identity of Bangladeshi intruders, it has also emerged that the name of a large number of Hindu population is not included in it. It said that according to an assessment, about 1.4 million to 25 lakhs Hindus are trapped in the event of their Indian citizenship being taken away.

He said that the ancestors of Hindu brothers and sisters had come to India due to atrocities in Bangladesh. To provide Indian resources to the citizens, it is important to ensure that NRC is in every state but at the same time it is equally important that India should protect the poor Hindus coming from Bangladesh.
