Kolkata: A part of the Majerhat bridge collapsed on Tuesday in the southern part of Kolkata. Many people are expected to be killed in the accident. Police said that some vehicles also got hit by the collapse of this bridge in Alipur area. Fire fighters, police, NDRF personnel are engaged in rescue work.
On the other hand, responding to the matter, BJP leader Rupa Ganguly said that many of the bridges in the city are in bad condition. Do not get a bridge over time because of corruption. Meanwhile, Union Minister Babul Supriyo, while targeting the Mamta government, said that innocent people are being killed in Kolkata. Six people injured in bridge collapseMamata Government Minister Firhad Hakim said that six people have been admitted to the hospital. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of West Bengal is in Darjeeling at this time. They say that they are trying to reach Kolkata early on. She said, "We are very concerned. As soon as the accident was reported rescuers rushed to the spot. We are finding as soon as possible to get back to Kolkata. There are no flights in the evening, why not reach."
