Virat Kohli 37th Century, Fastest 10,000 Runs

Visakhapatnam India captain Virat Kohli continued his formidable form with 37th century, completed the fastest 10 thousand runs and reached India on a strong score of 321 for 6 in the second ODI against the West Indies on Wednesday.

Virat had scored 140 runs in the last match in Guwahati and in this match, he started batting from where he had left in Guwahati. Virat scored the 37th century and 81st run of his innings, breaking the record of world record holder Sachin Tendulkar by completing the fastest 10 thousand runs in ODI cricket.

The Indian captain completed 10 thousand runs in his 205th innings, while Sachin had touched this figure in 259th innings. Virat also broke the record of South Africa's Hashim Amla by completing the fastest 1000 runs in a calendar year. Virat completed 1000 runs in 11 innings.

Virat scored an unbeaten 157 in 129 balls with 13 fours and four sixes. On Virat's feat, the Indian team reached 321 runs in 50 overs. Ambati Rayudu smashed 73 off 80 balls with 8 fours, opener Shikhar Dhawan hit four fours and a six in 30 balls, wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made 20 off 25 balls with the help of one six, Rishabh Pant 13 Ravindra Jadeja scored 13 runs in 14 balls with two fours in the balls.
