Suggestion in favor of reservations
In the report, suggestions have been made in favor of demand for reservations in Maratha community and government jobs, without tampered with reservations given to OBCs. After receiving the report, Jain told reporters in the ministry, "We have received the report, which is based on the social and economic status of the Maratha community. A proper decision will be taken after the study (report). '
The Commission studied the experimental data of social, economic and educational backwardness of the Maratha community, with the survey of two lakh memos, and about 45,000 families received by him. This panel was headed by Justice NG Gaikwad (Retired).
